Emily is a first-year master’s student in Biology at William & Mary. She graduated from Brown University with a degree in Applied Mathematics - Biology and is interested in combining experimental and computational approaches to understand how molecular adaptations may confer an evolutionary advantage. She works with ciliates to explore genomic responses to environmental change, with a broader interest in the roles of gene expression and genome structure in adaptation.
